Choosing the right material for a renovation.
As a contractor, you sometimes have to make unusual choices and dare to move away from the obvious materials. In France they were very creative using Govaplast plastic boards for outdoor arenas.
The renovation of the stand of a bullfighting arena in south-west France, could have been carried out in concrete or wood. But the entire structure was built in steel and recycled plastic from Govaplast.
The iron structure was covered with several modules in plastic, which in turn are connected with recycled plastic beams.
Each module is 72, 150 or 200 cm long and 72 cm deep. The surface consists of 2.8 cm thick tongue-and-groove boards in the colour mineral grey. The tongue and groove system provides extra load-bearing capacity. In total, we see here a surface area of 100 m² of Govaplast boards.
A durable, maintenance-free and sturdy stand!
