Horse walkers & lunging arenas made of Govaplast
A project showing the added value of recycled plastic stable boards in equestrian centres.
Marcheur CTL (Les atelier de Breau) specialises in the production of horse walkers and lunging arenas. They supply the complete installation and use wood but also Govaplast as materials.
” Walls of a horse walker in recycled plastics are popular with equestrian centres because they not only look good, but are also very robust (resistant to horses’ hooves), and very hygienic (easy to clean with water, possibly with pressure washer). The boards are rot-resistant so they last more than a lifetime. “
The main advantages:
Safe: no splinters, does not split, resistant to kicks
Rot-proof, weather-resistant, mould-free
Low-maintenance
How it’s built: The inside and outside walls of the horse walker are made of boards at least 32 mm thick, attached to a galvanised curved metal structure.Height: 1.60 m (inside)Diameter:
