Canvas by Govaplast @ Brussels Parliamentoutdoor furniture of recycled plastics on roof terraces in Brussels
The Brussels Regional Parliament is located in the Brussels Parliament building on Lombard Street in our Belgian capital.
The building is also a true museum, as it houses more than 2,400 works of art.
The curator of the building complex chose Govaplast furniture made from recycled plastic for the two rooftop terraces, which fits perfectly into this historical setting.
Although the beige Canvas benches and tables are made of plastic, they blend naturally into the surroundings. Their colour and design harmonize beautifully with the wooden terrace floor and the plant-covered walls that serve as vertical gardens.
Of course, the aesthetic aspect wasn’t the only criterion. Outdoor furniture must withstand the elements. The plastic benches and tables are made of boards with a solid core and are coloured throughout, ensuring the furniture remains sturdy and colourfast in all weather conditions.
A nice bonus: on the upper terrace, parliament members can relax or have lunch on the Canvas benches while admiring the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula.
